Dr. Grunwald served as Director and Coordinator of Distance Education Programs, Soil and Water Sciences Department, University of Florida (11/2001 – 5/2011).

She teaches various graduate courses (on-campus and distance education mode),; and has taught numerous undergraduate courses, workshops, and short courses.

She developed the EcoLearnIT Reusable Learning Object (RLO) Education platform providing learning materials related to environmental, agriculture, and life science topics.

She has engaged in open global education and capacity building projects.
